CHISELED EDGE CONCRETE COUNTERTOP FORMS Great For Solid Pour or Cast In Place Concrete Countertops - Also, Great for smooth or textured top finishes. Multiple forms may be pieced together to achieve any size countertop. When your desired size is complete simply over lap the excess form and place the starting point with the smaller depth on the inside to meet the countertop mix. Labor Saving TIP!! For Perfectly smooth tops without the use of a trowel, place a 4’ x 8’ white laminated sheet of compressed board down as your base for placing your countertop forms. Use lumber or garden borders such as plastic or fiberglass to back the forms. Once your layout is satisfactory, back you’re supporting forms with any weighted objects to prevent any sliding. Use any non stick liquid generously on chiseled edge and the laminated base. Use Rapid Set Mortar mix if you want to leave out wire mesh or rebar. It can reach 14,000 PSI in strength and allows de molding and coloring with in hours. (During a comfortably warm day.) Once your mix is poured into your countertop form, place a hand float or trowel on top of the wet mix. Grab it, pull up and push down vigorously to create vibration to remove air bubbles from edges and bottom (Top). If you have enough material, use a 2 x 4 or something straight to rod from form to form in order to get a flat underneath of your countertop. Then accurately trowel once to create a seal for stronger curing. Then wait until you see drying spots and mist with water out of a squirt bottle.
