READ TODAY'S GOLDEN NUGGET

WISDOM FOR TODAY

FREEDOM IN FORGIVENESS

IN LIFE, SOMETIMES PEOPLE’S CHOICES (ESPECIALLY THOSE IN OUR FAMILY UNIT), DISAPPOINT US, SOMETIMES, THEY MAKE US DARN RIGHT ANGRY.  MORE TIME THAN NOT, THE PRIMARY REASON FOR THIS ANGER, IS WE KNOW FULL WELL THE PATH THEY JUST CHOSE TO TAKE, DOES NOT LEAD THEM TO THEIR ULTIMATE HEART’S DESIRE.  WE KNOW THIS HOW?  BECAUSE WE’VE TRAVELED THIS SAME ROAD, WE’VE MOST LIKELY MADE THE SAME MISTAKE AND HAVE HAD TO WALK OUT DAILY, THE HARD CONSEQUENCES; CONSEQUENCES THEY WILL MOST LIKELY HAVE TO WALK IN THE FUTURE!  WE HOPE NOT, BUT, THE THING ABOUT ROADS, UNLESS THERE’S MAJOR CONSTRUCTION TO RE-DIRECT A DIFFERENT DIRECTION, THIS ROAD WILL LEAD TO THE SAME PLACE AS WHEN PAST TRAVELERS TOOK IT.

But, as we sit back and pass judgement in our own hearts
about a decision someone, close to our hearts, should or shouldn’t have
made……This is the Hard, Hard Question We MUST Ask Ourselves….”Did we in anyway,
become a Giant Stumbling Block that yielded them to this Wrong Road and cause
them to return to Egypt, instead of staying on the Path to The Promise
Land?  Hard question, but the hardest of questions are necessary for
healing in our own hearts, before we can do the hard work of restoring relationships.
Jesus is very clear…

JUDGING OTHERS

Matthew 7:3-5 Amplified Bible (AMP)

3. Why do you look at the [insignificant]
speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice and acknowledge the
[egregious] log that is in your own eye?
4. Or how can you say to
your brother, ‘Let me get the speck out of your eye,’ when there is a log in
your own eye?
5. You hypocrite (play-actor, pretender), first get
the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck
out of your brother’s eye.

FORGIVENESS IS FOR US, NOT THE OFFENDER

Matthew 5: 22-24 Amplified Bible (AMP)

22 But I say to you that everyone who
continues to be angry with his brother or harbors malice against him shall be
guilty before the court; and whoever speaks shall be guilty before the
supreme court (Sanhedrin); and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of
the [i]fiery hell.
23 So if you are presenting your offering at
the altar, and while there you remember that your brother has something [such
as a grievance or legitimate complaint] against you,
24 leave
your offering there at the altar and go. First make peace with your brother,
and then come and present your offering.

Now, with all this being said, It’s extremely important to
understand, that Both Keeping our hearts clean from Judging and Choosing to
Forgive Those Who Have Hurt, Used, or Disappointed US, Does NOT mean you are
obligated to entertain an immediate active relationship with this person, as if
nothing ever happened!  TRUST may have been broken and this is a REAL
issue and a whole lot of work will need to be done in order to ever obtain a
restored relationship.  The Primary Burdon of Work is Not on the one
offended, but the Offender!  AND, Possibly, In God’s Great Timing Full
Restoration Can Happen, and sometimes become an even deeper, more authentic
relationship, because of the experience.  Your Work, Allow GOD to work on
YOU!  Allow God to Heal Your Heart!  Lay Down Your Chains of
Judgement, Unforgiveness, Anger, Pain, Disappointments, and Most of All….LAY
DOWN YOUR “RIGHT TO BE RIGHT”  When you do this, You WILL Experience a
Peace That Surpasses ALL Understanding & You Will Finally Experience the
True Meaning of Being “FREE”!

"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard
battle." The Lord is kind to us in every way, and invites us to share that
kindness with everyone we encounter!

We’ve all heard it said, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” The truth is, words are powerful! They have the power to build up or to tear down. They have the power to influence and impact the people around us for better or worse. Join us for this new series and see how your words really do shape your world!

Foster Care Prevention - Reunification - Protecting The Ones Aged Out With No Where To Go!

THEIR STORY

Since opening its doors in August of 2016, Phoenix-based Thrive AZ has made it their mission to change the lives of countless Arizona families for the better. Thrive AZ has played an integral role in foster care prevention and biological family reunification by connecting deserving families with critical resources and support that would otherwise be out of reach.  READ MORE

Prevention

Arizona currently serves over 22,000 children in our Foster Care System. With, on average, 1 child being removed from their home every 40 minutes in the state of Arizona. Reasons for removal vary from homelessness, abuse, neglect and the lack of basic resources to care for the family.

Our Vision with our Thrive Foster Care Prevention Program is to help prevent children from being removed from their families due to the lack of basic needs and resources. Working in cooperation with Arizona Department of Child Safety caseworkers and Community social workers we connect our clients with community partners to help us provide the basic needs required by the Arizona Department of Child Safety.

Some of those basic needs include providing brand new beds, pillows, blankets, clothing, personal care products, appliances and furniture.  (Simply having a bed can be a deciding factor on when a child is reunified with their family.) Our goal is to support families in the prevention and reunification process to build stability and create HOPE for a positive future.  CHECK OUT THE STORY OF ONE OF OUR SUCCESSFUL PREVENTION CASES HERE.

Age Out

Spurned and rejected by his own mother, Elijah spent his early years moving from house to house, looking after himself for food, shelter, and clothing. Finally placed in the foster care system, he totals the number of houses he had stayed in to 42 by the time he aged out at age 18. With nowhere to go and no support system to turn on, he ended up at the Dream Center.

The transition for a foster youth from foster care to “the real world” is abrupt: once he turned 18, Elijah was suddenly and completely on his own. The Dream Center offered every avenue of support for Elijah to begin a pattern of successful life choices. A beautifully renovated room that included a kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom was provided for him while staff and volunteers ensured that his educational, spiritual, and emotional needs were met. When Elijah was finally able to stand on his own two feet, he finally had a place he could call home. His parting desire? To go to college and start his own Dream Center.  The Dream Center provides housing and program services to youth in our community who are in similar situations as Elijah. However, because the need is so great, we are expanding these services to include a Tiny Home Village for aged our foster youth. By partnering with Eagles Pathway, Thrive AZ will provide housing and mentorship to youth who age out of foster care. There will be more details and information to come as the project progresses.

MOM'S PANTRY

Mom’s Pantry was built on the promise that no man, woman, or child go hungry. Mom’s Pantry is always stocked and always ready for the next visitor. Mom’s Pantry was founded because in Arizona, one in five families do not have the ability to provide enough food to feed the entire household. Through the collaboration and generosity of a local family and interested parties, the vision and mission to combat hunger brought Mom’s Pantry to life.Mom’s Pantry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and aims to serve the community to distribute resources that provide much-needed nutrition to needy adults and children. Mom’s Pantry accepts donations of both food and money to help us meet our goals, and 100% of all donations – both food and money – go directly toward helping families in need.Volunteers are always needed to help stock shelves, coordinate food drives, and help with literally hundreds of different tasks to help make Mom's Pantry the best resource for those in need. Even more so, Mom's Pantry always needs donations of food to provide the best help possible for those in need.

LIVING FREEDOM

LOOSING A SPIRITUAL 10LBS.

“Freedom,” the author proclaims, “is meant to be lived!” As a woman, Alison Wallwork is able to speak directly and intimately to the unique troubles faced by women, and she identifies the core problem: the myriad variations of fear. She also outlines the ready solutions presented in God’s Word. In addition to sharing the story of her own life, she provides inspirational testimonies of other women who are “Living Freedom” by putting the precepts of this book—which are drawn directly from The Book—into practice in their daily lives. Baggage—real or imagined, emotional or psychological—is rooted in the burden of spiritual baggage, and shedding it requires a spiritual solution. Every woman should read this, and every man should give it to a woman he loves—though it wouldn’t hurt him to read it himself first!

DEBORAH NAZEMI

Extraordinary Love For People!

Deborah Nazemi is just an ordinary woman with extraordinary vision to make an impact on the world around her. A wife and mother of 5 sons, Deborah has always had a drive to make a difference in the lives of others. She didn’t have an easy life, just like many others, but she has learned to use her life experiences to grow in her personal life and then help others to do the same. She has learned through painful and sometimes impossible situations, that trusting God is the only way forward.  Ministering prophetically through music, speaking, writing, and drama, Deborah is a best-selling author, ministry leader, and president of The Guy V. Lewis Impact Initiative. Her mission is to awaken and activate the bride of Christ, and she believes that God will set the world on fire for Him through his people; one life, and one heart at a time. Deborah says that the most important part of her journey has been developing a deep relationship with God, even while dealing with tremendous loss, crippling grief, loneliness, and disappointment. In her season of tremendous suffering, she learned to know the voice of God, and discovered that only He could lift her from the despair, give her new hope, heal her heart, and change her path. In all of Deborah’s writing which includes songs, plays, and books, there are reflections of her own journey. She authors books for the same reason she writes and sings music, creates elaborate theater productions, and speaks publicly. Her motivation and hope are that those who come to her presentations, listen to her music, or read her books, will be impacted as they hear of her experiences and be beautifully transformed. Deborah’s ministry has a prophetic edge. She takes what God speaks to her about life, our nation, or His kingdom, and creates a story-line or a message based on what she has been shown. Deborah is a public speaker, but because of her background, her events often include music and a dramatic element to enhance the message in a way that the audience will enjoy and remember.
