Integrity Means You’re the Same Person in Private and in Public
Rick Warren — July 12, 2018

“God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God” (Matthew 5:8 NLT).

As you strive to build a life based on values that last, it’s important to establish and maintain integrity. The Bible says in Matthew 5:8, “God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God” (NLT). To “see God” means to experience the presence of God. Believers who have a pure heart get to feel the power of God. They get to know the purpose of God for their lives. They get to live in the peace of God. They experience the pardon of God.

Do you want to be one of those people? We don’t talk a lot th...

Your Work and Your Worth Are Two Different Things

By Rick Warren — June 25, 2018

“I have also learned why people work so hard to succeed: it is because they envy the things their neighbors have” (Ecclesiastes 4:4 GNT).

temp-post-image

We can come up with many excuses for overworking. Sometimes we blame it on providing for our family. Other times we insist our work is so important that to slow down would be negligent. But usually, it’s a values problem. We start valuing the wrong things. Specifically, we value the acquisition of stuff above all else. The Bible says, “I have also learned why people work so hard to succeed: it is because they envy the things their neighbors have” (Ecclesiastes 4:4 GNT). God says we have two options: We can either spend all of our time keeping up with the Joneses, or we can forget them and reduce our stress level. But we can’t have both. That’s how this becomes a question of values. Do you want more stuff, or do you want less stress and more time with your family and friends? The choice is yours. Jesus said it like this: “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” (Mark 8:36 NIV). To put it in modern language, “What good is it to become president of your company but lose your kids or your spouse?” The simple answer? It’s not good at all. Your work and your worth are two different things. Maybe you grew up being told you’re worthless, and you’re out in the workplace trying to prove everyone wrong. In the back of your mind, you’re telling yourself, “I’m going to show them. I’m going to prove them wrong.” You work harder and harder, but no matter how hard you work, it’s never enough. Just about the time you start to relax, you hear a haunting voice telling you, “Keep pedaling. Somebody’s catching up!” You need to get rid of the voice. It’s feeding you a lie. As a pastor, I’ve been by many bedsides as people have died. I’ve seen many people take their last breath, sometimes at a hospital, sometimes in a home, and sometimes at the scene of an accident. Among all of the people I’ve watched die in my life, I’ve never heard anyone say with their dying breath, “I wish I’d spent more time at the office.” Not one. Don’t you think it’s time to adjust your values? Don’t be a rat. Jump out of the race. PLAY today’s audio teaching from Pastor Rick >>

You’re Responsible for What You Allow in Your Mind

— June 13, 2018

““A wise person is hungry for knowledge, while the fool feeds on trash” (Proverbs 15:14 NLT).
Our minds control everything else about us. Our thoughts influence our feelings. Our feelings impact our actions.
What you think matters, because everything starts in the mind. To be a responsible person, you have to control your thoughts.

But let me relieve you of a little false guilt: You’re not responsible for every stray thought that passes through your mind. Stray thoughts enter our minds for a variety of reasons — conversations you hear by accident, things you see, stuff the devil puts in your mind, etc.

You’re responsible for how you deal with those stray thoughts. Martin Luther said it...

You Don’t Have to Live with Guilt

By Rick Warren — June 12, 2018

“A man who refuses to admit his mistakes can never be successful. But if he confesses and forsakes them, he gets another chance” (Proverbs 28:13 TLB).

God is always ready to give you another chance. That’s a bedrock piece of Christianity. We’ve all been irresponsible. We’ve all screwed up. The Bible tells us, “Not a single person on earth is always good and never sins” (Ecclesiastes 7:20 NLT).

God doesn’t want you living with a heavy guilt trip about all the irresponsibility in your life. Guilt destroys your confidence, damages your relationships, keeps you stuck in the past, and even hurts your health. I read a report...

Standing Strong on God’s Extravagant Love

By BY RICK WARREN — May 27, 2018

“God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love . . . he sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins” (1 John 4:9–10 NLT).
Everything in life changes—relationships, jobs, fame. One minute you feel like a hero; the next minute you feel like a zero. But there’s one thing in the universe that will never change: God’s love.

Knowing that God still loves you no matter what happens — your failures, your brokenness, your sin — provides a rock solid foundation in your life.

Consider the small word “so” that goes before “love” in the Bible’s ...

Before God Speaks, Decide to Say “Yes”
By Rick Warren — Apr 8, 2018

“The seeds that fell in good soil stand for those who hear the message and retain it in a good and obedient heart, and they persist until they bear fruit” (Luke 8:15 GNT).

God speaks to people who decide they’re going to do what he tells them to do, even before he tells them. It’s saying, “God, if you want me to move, I’ll move. If you want me to get married, I’ll get married. If you want me to leave this job, I’ll leave this job. Before you even tell me, my answer is ‘yes.’ Whatever you want me to do, I will do it.”Luke 8:15 says, “The seeds that fell in good soil stand for those who ...

Three Things That Keep Us from Hearing God
By Rick Warren — Apr 7, 2018

“The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature” (Luke 8:14 NIV).
You can’t hear God if your mind is crowded with other thoughts or concerns — particularly worries, plans, and activities. If we’re always listening to the radio or watching tv, the circuits are going to be busy when God calls us. We have to eliminate distractions.

LIVING FREEDOM

LOOSING A SPIRITUAL 10LBS.

“Freedom,” the author proclaims, “is meant to be lived!” As a woman, Alison Wallwork is able to speak directly and intimately to the unique troubles faced by women, and she identifies the core problem: the myriad variations of fear. She also outlines the ready solutions presented in God’s Word. In addition to sharing the story of her own life, she provides inspirational testimonies of other women who are “Living Freedom” by putting the precepts of this book—which are drawn directly from The Book—into practice in their daily lives. Baggage—real or imagined, emotional or psychological—is rooted in the burden of spiritual baggage, and shedding it requires a spiritual solution. Every woman should read this, and every man should give it to a woman he loves—though it wouldn’t hurt him to read it himself first!

Deborah Nazemi

Extraordinary Love For People!

Deborah Nazemi is just an ordinary woman with extraordinary vision to make an impact on the world around her. A wife and mother of 5 sons, Deborah has always had a drive to make a difference in the lives of others. She didn’t have an easy life, just like many others, but she has learned to use her life experiences to grow in her personal life and then help others to do the same. She has learned through painful and sometimes impossible situations, that trusting God is the only way forward.

Ministering prophetically through music, speaking, writing, and drama, Deborah is a best-selling author, ministry leader, and president of The Guy V. Lewis Impact Initiative. Her mission is to awaken and activate the bride of Christ, and she believes that God will set the world on fire for Him through his people; one life, and one heart at a time.  Deborah says that the most important part of her journey has been developing a deep relationship with God, even while dealing with tremendous loss, crippling grief, loneliness, and disappointment. In her season of tremendous suffering, she learned to know the voice of God, and discovered that only He could lift her from the despair, give her new hope, heal her heart, and change her path.  In all of Deborah’s writing which includes songs, plays, and books, there are reflections of her own journey. She authors books for the same reason she writes and sings music, creates elaborate theater productions, and speaks publicly. Her motivation and hope are that those who come to her presentations, listen to her music, or read her books, will be impacted as they hear of her experiences and be beautifully transformed. Deborah’s ministry has a prophetic edge. She takes what God speaks to her about life, our nation, or His kingdom, and creates a story-line or a message based on what she has been shown.  Deborah is a public speaker, but because of her background, her events often include music and a dramatic element to enhance the message in a way that the audience will enjoy and remember.
