Who would I be selling to?

Primarily homeowners, and people with a new build under way. Decorative concrete is bought by the person who will live with it, not by a purchasing department.

Getting started

Where does the work come from?

Classified advertising, online and print, is still the most reliable starting point. After that: home and garden trade shows, and video with keyword titles. Word of mouth takes over once you have finished jobs to point at.

Honest answer

Should I quit my job for this?

No. Bryan's own advice is “temporary Saturday sacrifices” — build the work at weekends until it is consistent, then decide. Anyone telling you to hand in your notice is selling you something.

Legalities

What about licensing and setting up?

Easier than most people expect — most businesses can be set up inside a day. Bryan's separate home study course, Becoming an Entrepreneur, walks through starting and running one properly.
